This Site currently uses only functional cookies. These are cookies necessary for the Site to work properly.

Expires after one year.resources_unlocked(set by this Site) — set only after you choose to enter your email to open The Field Kit. It is what lets every kit open without asking you again, and it records only that an unlock happened. It does not contain your email address or any other personal detail. Expires after one year.- Session cookies (set by Vercel, the Site’s hosting platform): used to keep the Site running smoothly, manage traffic, and maintain basic security. These are automatically deleted when you close your browser.
Both of the Site’s own cookies are first-party, restricted to this Site (SameSite=Lax), and sent only over a secure connection (Secure).
These cookies do not track you across other sites, do not build a profile of your browsing behavior, and are not used for advertising.
Local storage used on this Site:
Two items are also kept in your browser’s local storage. They are not cookies — they are never sent to a server — but they are stored on your device, so they are listed here for completeness:
cookie_consent— a mirror of the cookie above, so your choice survives a cookie clear.resources:unlocked— a mirror of the Field Kit unlock, so the kits stay open if cookies are cleared. Again, it records only that an unlock happened, not your email address.
You can remove both by clearing site data for this Site in your browser. Clearing them means The Field Kit will ask for an email again the next time you open a kit; entering the same address simply unlocks it, and does not add you to the list twice or send you another confirmation email.
3. What cookies this Site does NOT use (currently)
This Site does not currently use:
- Analytics cookies (such as Google Analytics or similar)
- Advertising or targeting cookies
- Social media tracking cookies
- Third-party marketing cookies
If this changes in the future (for example, if analytics are added), this Cookie Policy will be updated before any such cookies are enabled, and a consent option will be provided for cookies that require it.
4. How to manage cookies
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you:
- See what cookies are stored and delete them individually
- Block third-party cookies
- Block all cookies from specific sites
- Block all cookies entirely
- Delete all cookies when you close your browser
Note that if you block functional cookies, some parts of the Site may not work as expected. Specifically: declining or blocking cookies does not restrict any content, but The Field Kit will ask for your email each time rather than remembering that you already unlocked it, and this cookie notice will reappear.

The service providers that support this Site (Vercel for hosting, Supabase for the database, Resend for email, GitHub for automation) may set their own cookies as part of delivering their services. This Cookie Policy may be updated when the Site’s cookie use changes, for example, when analytics or newsletter tools are added. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect any change.
